We aim to provide a space where practitioners, educators & students can communicate without feeling threatened. This means members need to be professional and word posts respectfully & non-judgementally.

If the Management Committee believes a member's post to be damaging or discriminatory, it will ask the person who posted it to edit it, & on the very rare occasion that a post is considered very offensive, the Management Committee will edit it.

The Moderator Group also includes some forum members who are not members of the Management Committee, who assist us (& we are very grateful for their assistance) by deleting spam & other offensive material from the forums when it occasionally has been posted.

Please read these user guidelines before posting in the forums

Introduction
ACMAC's Acupuncture Network is an internet-based, community association that aims to promote the strengthening of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, world wide. We do this through these online discussion forums.

Together, we seek to support each other through the difficulties and challenges associated with the rapid growth and expansion of AOM in the community.

We are committed to expanding our knowledge and awareness of TCM through sharing of views, comment and experiences.

We respect the diversity and dignity of each person's individual choices, beliefs, stories, problems, and successes.

We do not promote any mode of treatment or method. We recognise that different treatments are appropriate for the different needs, wishes, and situations of different people.

Moderation

ACMAC's Acupuncture Network forums are administered on an as-needs basis by a Moderator Group comprised led by the Public Officer and including one other AOM related health care worker and people from the Acupuncture Network Management Committee.

Acupuncture Network forums are a community-based project supported by its members.

Acupuncture Network forums are self-monitoring, which means that users work together to keep the list functioning well.

Feedback or comments about any user or posting in the Acupuncture Network forums must be directed to the list Moderator Group (c/o email Katherine DOT Berry AT acupuncture DOT net DOT au or email: info@acupuncture.net.au) and not posted on the forum itself.

Thank you for your support and for contributions to the Acupuncture Network forums. By following our terms and conditions, and forum etiquette, we will remain a valuable and accessible means of support and community for AOM practitioners, students and industry.

Use of the forums is conditional on people's acceptance of the Acupuncture Network terms and conditions, and forum etiquette.
