Thanks andre! Gua sha seems to be a winner in practicality, although i probably wouldnt use a coin they are dirty things even after cleaning them , their metallic nature I dont like. But thats just me , and in a situation where you had no spoons or scrapers very practical.
Yesterday at the clinic the bleeding LU11 technique gave instant relief to a TCM student/patient. The topic served to remind what was meant to be done beforehand. Yay for appropriate bleeding.

Hi all,
I haven't read all the long posts in this thread, but to stick to the idea of getting quick results in these conditions...
One of the best improvements (and instant) I have seen was in an acute wind cold with fever, and chills with uncontrollable shaking - needling with strong stimulation continuously for a few minutes at LI11. Stopped the chills and shaking immediately. Then carried on with treatment similar to those mentioned in the thread.
